A full basement finish in a 2000s Whitehall colonial — rec room, wet bar, full bath, and a guest suite with egress. Built on top of a moisture-management system that addresses the problem before any drywall goes up.
The Ask
A true second living space. A wet bar we’d actually use. A bathroom and bedroom good enough that mother-in-law would stay there without complaint.
The Design
Engineered vinyl plank throughout, over a membrane that decouples from the slab. Custom wet bar with quartz top and a full-size beverage fridge. The full bath mirrors the finish level of the one upstairs — not a code-minimum basement afterthought. The egress bedroom gets a proper window well and a full-size closet.
The Build
Eight weeks. Interior French drain installed before framing began. Vapor-barrier and R-19 insulation at perimeter walls with framing held off the foundation. Egress window installed with proper excavation and drainage connection to the sump.
See it in motion.
The moment it came together.

Details, from every angle.

“A basement that finally feels like part of the house. Engineered LVP underfoot, a full bath that doesn't feel like an afterthought, and a layout that turns previously dead square footage into the family's most-used room.”
