A two-bathroom remodel on Baptist Road in Whitehall — a primary walk-in-shower bath and a main tub-and-shower bath, both taken to the studs and rebuilt before the homeowners moved in. The homeowner found ICR at the South Hills Home Show and wanted both rooms fully updated in one coordinated push — on a tight timeline, so the house was move-in ready from day one.
The Ask
Two dated baths, brought fully current in one cohesive design and finished before move-in, on a tight schedule. Open up the primary shower, lose the dated bulkhead over the main-bath tub, and run one material story through both rooms.
The Design
One palette carried both baths: large-format Calacatta-look porcelain — white with warm gold-and-grey veining — on the shower and tub surrounds, dark espresso shaker vanities, white quartz tops, matte-black fixtures, and backlit LED mirrors. The walls are where they diverge — warm terracotta in the main bath, deep slate blue in the primary. The primary shower was expanded wall-to-wall with a black-framed glass enclosure, a recessed niche, a teak corner bench, and a marble-look hex-mosaic floor with a linear drain.
The Build
The main bath was a full gut; the primary was reworked around an expanded shower — old shelving pulled to run the tile wall-to-wall, a niche and bench framed, the drain relocated and the shower head raised, glass door set. In the main bath we removed the ceiling bulkhead over the tub, reframed and re-boarded it, and set the new tub. New waterproofing and tile throughout, new vanities, lighted mirrors, exhaust venting, colonial trim, and matte-black fixtures in both — switches moved inside the rooms and GFCI brought to code, all on a compressed schedule that wrapped before the family moved in.
The moment it came together.
